Studeren in NederlandMany Dutch universities and institutes of professional education are conducting a growing number of their study programmes and courses in English. The Netherlands Organisation for International Co-operation in Higher Education (Nuffic) aims at making education accessible all over the world, especially in countries where educational infrastructure is lagging behind. You will find all necessary information about the Nuffic and studying in The Netherlands at
www.nuffic.nl and at
www.studyin.nl
Please notice: If the course you want to apply for will take longer than 90 days, you will need a ‘temporary residence permit’ (MVV) to enter and stay in the Netherlands for your studies. To obtain this ‘MVV’, you will need to have your birth certificate verified and legalised by the consular section of this Embassy first. This procedure may take up to four months. You are therefore advised to start arranging for this legalisation as soon as possible, and in case you applied for a fellowship, start in anticipation of the results of the selection procedure. Unfortunately costs made or fees paid for legalisation can not be refunded.
The (new) Netherlands Fellowship Programme
The (new) Netherlands Fellowship programme (NFP) was implemented from January 2003, and is financed from the Netherlands Government budget of development co-operation. The programme focuses on meeting the need for further training- and capacity building in a wide range of governmental organisations. The NFP target group consists of mid-career professionals who are already in employment and who are nationals of a selected number of countries, such as Côte d’Ivoire. The NFP offers fellowships for master’s degree programmes, short courses, PhD studies and for tailor-made training. For the application procedure for all programmes please visit the
